Tips for being more photogenic

my frenz always say dat i'm photogedic, what they mean are photogenic +gedic sometime..hehe..sorry girlz..that my natural..heheMySpace

i have dat style when taking photo..da 1 side face, a bright smile..

for person who is not so photogenic (read "not at all"), I've gathered these tips and hints for looking better in photos, hoping that they'll help even me. i'm not a model but i like to share this tips and hopefully the end result will be better pictures. i'm not dat pretty so some tricks may help to advance ur look

If you are standing – turn slightly and rest your weight on one foot. It may FEEL goofy, but you WILL look better.
If you are sitting – angle to one side or the other.

check at mirror which side are "bad side" and 'good side"

both my side are good site..but I realise dat im prefer my right side

with angle to one side..can tonjol ur face shape (da good one) and nose more mancung (since i don't have da mancung one..hehe)

and of course some make-up might be help..hehe

General posing tips:MySpace
  • Relax.
  • Slightly tilt your head naturally to one side.
  • Breathe in and out; don't hold your breath.
  • Think about something happy (or sexy, or playful, or whatever mood the photo calls for).
  • Practice making your eyes smile and communicate with the camera.
  • Take a moment to close your eyes right beforehand to reduce the chance of blinking. (Use this time to envision the shot.)..u don't want a pict with ur eyes close MySpace
  • Focus on a point slightly above the camera lens.
  • Lip gloss can reflect too much light, so usually best without it...shining..OMG!!
  • Careful of smiling TOO big; looks like you r pretending..hehe
  • Focus on a bright light before the shot to reduce the pupil and the chances of red eye. MySpace
  • Don't slouch…
  • Extend your neck forward, dropping your chin slightly (think "giraffe").
  • Lean slightly toward the camera. Leaning slightly toward the camera adds interest, dimension, and a natural look to a photo. Think of having a long neck like a gazelle, and tilt your chin down just a bit to avoid the appearance of a double chin and also to prevent the camera from getting a view right up your nostrils.
For standing poses:MySpace
  • Create a curve in your body by twisting and bringing one shoulder nearer to camera (think "s").
  • Place one foot immediately in front of the other, keeping it pointed in the direction of the camera.
  • Rest the majority of your weight on the foot in the back.
  • Stand upright, keeping your shoulders relaxed.
  • Keep your arms in a natural position.
  • Additional tips:A different two-thirds rule. Position your face and your body so that two-thirds of them are visible to the camera.
  • Ask the photographer to shoot you at eye level or above…never below...its make you like giant..haha

Finally practice, practice, practice. Practicing by using a camera, versus a mirror, is best and shoot some pictures. I love camera..hehe MySpace
